Father's Day Dessert Recipes
One thing that you surely cannot overlook in your
Father's Day menu is a lip smacking dessert. Whether it's a chocolate
tartlet or a plum cake, desserts have their own way of conveying sweet
messages to someone. They perfectly complement the mood of any
celebration and Father's Day is no exception. However, instead of
running to the local bakery this year, why not make Daddy's day extra

Father's Day Dessert Recipes
Pumpkin Magic
Ingredients:
- 1 big Pumpkin (1 kg approx)
- Cinnamon Sticks
- 4 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1tbsp Butter
- 50 g Raisins
- 50 g Cashew Nut
- 3 tbsp Coconut (grated and roasted)
- 2 tbsp Roasted Almonds
Directions:
- Peel the pumpkin and cut it into small cubes.
- Now, boil some water in a saucepan.
- Add the pumpkin pieces and the cinnamon sticks to the water and
cover the pan. Cook until tender.
- Drain the water and mash the pumpkin pieces properly.
- Next, heat about 4 tbsp of cooking oil in a large pan.
- Add the mashed pumpkin to it and stir continuously for about 7-10
minutes.
- Once the mixture thickens, add melted butter and sugar to it.
- Keep stirring for another 5 minutes, until the mixture turns
glossy.
- Garnish with raisins, coconut, cashews and almonds. Serve hot.
Fruit Pudding
Ingredients:
- 2 large Ripe Bananas
- 2 Oranges
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 150 ml Yoghurt/ Plain Curd
- ½ tsp Saffron Strands
- ½ tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)
- ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Pour the yoghurt in a large bowl.
- Add sugar, pepper powder, chili powder, and salt to it. Mix well.
- Peel the bananas and cut them into small pieces.
- Next, divide the oranges into segments and remove the pipes.
- Add these fruit pieces to the curd mixture and mix well for 3
minutes.
- Refrigerate for about half an hour (optional).
- Dissolve the saffron strands in a teaspoon of water and add it to
give the final touch just before serving.
Cheesy Squares
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Ricotta Cheese
- ½ cup Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- ½ tsp Saffron Strands
- ½ tsp Cardamom Seeds (crushed)
- ½ cup Almonds (blanched)
- 2 tbsp Green Pistachios (crushed)
Directions:
- Take a large bowl and mix cheese, sugar and cardamom powder.
- Now, spread the mixture on a baking tray.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 30-35 minutes or until the layer
sets. Make sure that it does not get brown.
- Take the tray out of the oven and let it stand at room
temperature till cool.
- Next, cut the baked cheese into small squares and place them in a
dessert bowl.
- Mix milk, almonds and saffron strands in another bowl and pour
the mixture over the squares.
- Finally, decorate it with crushed pistachios.
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve.
