Father's Day Brunch Recipes
Father's Day is around the corner and you are yet to
decide how to make it extra-special for the one man you love most in
your life. No doubt you have already arranged an evening barbeque party
for him on Father's Day, but what about the lazy morning. It's your
dad's day and you should obviously walk that extra mile to make it a
memorable one. With some effort from your end, you can obviously make
your Father's Day celebration a huge hit this year. To help you with
that, we have provided a few brunch recipes here. So, just arm yourself
with these easy brunch ideas for dad and let him savor his day to the
hilt.
Father's Day Brunch Recipes
Saucy Baby Corns
Ingredients:
- 250 g Baby Corn (boiled and peeled)
- 3/4 cup Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Onions, chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic, chopped
- 1 Capsicum, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1/2 tsp Ginger Paste
- Cooking Oil
- Salt to taste
For the Sauce
- 3 tbsp Corn Flour
- 3 tbsp Celery, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Tomato Puree
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tsp Soya Sauce
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups Water
(Add all the ingredients listed above for the sauce
mixture and mix well in a bowl)
Directions:
- Take a large bowl and add the baby corn, flour, garlic paste,
ginger paste and mix well.
- Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and add it to the mixture.
- Next, pour enough water to the blend and make a thick batter. Let
it stand for 10 minutes.
- Put some cooking oil in a pan and heat in a high flame.
- Now, drop the baby corns (2-3 at a time) in the oil and sauté
them properly, till they are golden brown in color.
- Then, take 3 tbsp of cooking oil in another pan and stir-fry the
garlic and onion, till they are light brown.
- Add the capsicum and fry for about 2 minutes.
- Now, pour the sauce mixture to it and cook till the sauce
thickens.
- Drop the fried corns, cook for about 5 minutes and serve hot.
Chicken Mania
Ingredients:
- 500g Chicken
- 2 Egg Whites
- 2 tbsp Corn Flour
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 cup Butter Milk
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- Cooking Oil
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Cut the chicken into small bite-sized pieces.
- Add salt, black pepper and red chilli powder to it and smear
well. Leave aside the mixture for about half an hour or forty five
minutes.
- Add the corn flour, lemon juice, flour and egg white to it.
- Heat some cooking oil in a frying pan.
- Sauté the chicken pieces till they are fully cooked and
light brown.
- Now, heat 2 tbsp oil in another frying pan and stir fry the
garlic and ginger paste in the oil for sometime.
- When the paste turns golden brown, add butter-milk and a dash of
salt.
- Lower the flame and finally add the cooked chicken pieces into
the simmering mixture.
- Keep stirring on and off, until the liquid is evaporated.
- Garnish the dry chicken pieces with coriander leaves.
- You may serve it with sauce, salsa or chutney of daddy's choice.
