Homemade Father's Day Card Ideas
DAD or PAPA Card
Requirements
- A piece of Card Paper
- 3 Photos
- Crayons or Paint
- Glue
- Scissors
Directions
- " Take a piece of card paper (paper used for making cards),
preferably in light colors like pale yellow, pale green or light
orange.
- " Next, fold the paper exactly into half and write the word
'DAD' or 'PAPA' on it. The letters should be written in such a way
that the middle of D, P and A's are big enough.
- " Now, cut the insides of the alphabets and stick
photographs of you and your siblings on it. Use a good quality
adhesive to paste the photos.
- " Paint the alphabets in bright colors to make them stand
out in the card. Scribble loving messages for dad on the inside of
this card.
Necktie Card
Requirements
- An Old Tie
- A few Small White Buttons
- A piece of Card Paper
- Crayons or Paint
- Scissors
- Ruler/ Yardstick
- Glue
Directions
- First, place the card paper on a flat surface and carefully cut
the top of the paper into an 'M' shape so that it looks like two
pointed peaks.
- Next, with the help of a rule, draw a straight line down the
center of the card.
- Glue the buttons on the right side of this line.
- Now, cut the lower part of the tie and place it in the middle of
the card. Make sure that you fix only the top of the tie to the
card, leaving the bottom part of the tie free to move.
- Finally, fold down the pointed areas on top towards the front of
the card. They will now give the impression of collar flaps.
- Paste these flaps to the card and glue a button on each collar.
- Now, cut a rectangular piece of paper and glue it to the shirt,
to look like a pocket. The pocket should be of the same color as the
shirt.
- Make sure you glue the pocket only on three sides. Slip a paper
hanky into the pocket.
- Write some cute Fathers Day messages on this hanky and present it
to dad.
House Card
Requirements
- White Card Paper
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Passport-sized Photos of Family Members
- Craft Knife
- Scissors
Directions
- Fold the white card paper into two and draw a house on one of its
sides, with the help of colored pencils or crayon.
- Carefully, cut the outline of the house, with the help of a
scissor.
- Draw small windows, corresponding to the number of family
members.
- Next, cut these marked windows, with the help of a craft knife,
and place photos of family members in each of these windows.
- Paint the exterior of the house with colors of your choice.
- Include a sweet Fathers Day message inside the card from all the
family members.
